Talk State Issues at the 2012 Eggs & Issues Session #1 this Saturday

Concerned about changes in the tax code? Wondering how redistricting will affect Lawrence? Discuss these issues and more during the "Eggs & Issues" breakfast Saturday, Feb. 4.
"Eggs & Issues" is part of the Chamber's Legislative Series, giving Members the opportunity to meet with state representatives. Our local legislators will participate, making brief presentations before answering attendees' questions. “Eggs & Issues” is open to the public.
The event will be held at 8 a.m. Feb. 4, 2012, in the Crystal Ballroom at the Eldridge Hotel. Tickets are $15 for Members and $20 for non-members. Please make your reservations by Thursday, Feb. 2.

The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce will help welcome more than 100 new members and member businesses at the Chamber's New Member Reception Wednesday, Feb. 8.
The reception gives new Chamber members an opportunity to meet each other, the Chamber Board Members and Envoy committee members. The event will be held at the W Banquet Hall. This is an invitation only event. Contact Adam Handshy for more information.
Put the "Ag" Back in Ag Land Seminar Feb. 9
Rural land owners are invited to this free public forum where they can learn about options on how they might keep their land in agriculture as they pass it on to the next generation. This talk will be held from 7-9 p.m. in Building 21 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper, Lawrence. Reservations are due Wednesday. Call 785.330.2873 or email
