Committee Involvement
Recruitment/Selection
Bryan Culver
The Recruitment Committee shall be responsible for recruiting a diverse group of potential leaders for the Leadership Lawrence Class. The Recruitment Chair shall be a voting member of the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee, appointed by the Executive Committee, shall consist of no fewer than fifteen (15) and not more than twenty (20) members who, with the exception of the Chair, shall remain anonymous. Members shall serve a three year term with approximately one third of the membership replaced
each year. The Selection Committee Chair shall be a voting member of the committee.
Development
Michelle Fales, Dena Johnston and Debra Thompson
The Development Committee shall be made up of the Development Chair and additional appointed members. Duties shall be to secure sponsors for the program and raise additional funds to support the program.
Curriculum
Kevin Loos and Kathy Branson
The Curriculum Committee shall Consist of the Chair for each curriculum day, the Chair- Elect/Curriculum Chair, and the Director. The committee shall be responsible for planning and conducting the sessions of the current class, which shall be of broad and continuing interest to the community incorporating leadership training principals.
Events/Alumni Outreach
Amber Nickel
The Events Committee shall be made up of the Events Chair and additional appointed members. The committee shall be responsible for planning the Announcement Reception and Graduation Program. The Alumni Committee shall be made up of the Alumni Outreach Chair and additional appointed members. The committee shall be responsible for planning a variety of activities for the alumni of Leadership Lawrence.
The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce offers monthly special events. to help you and your business effectively network with other area business owners and employees.
