The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce offers marketing opportunities as diverse as our membership. Our business-to-business marketing program is your chance to reach
more than 1,400 dedicated, active members of the Lawrence-Douglas County business community.

MEMBER DIRECTORY ENHANCEMENTS

Enhanced Online Directory Listing: $250/year
Enhanced Online Directory Listings help your business stand out from the crowd. With the enhanced directory listing, your business will pop to the top of its main category listing. Include a special border and
background, a business description of up to 75 words; your company logo and an additional category listing.

FREE: Two Category Listings
List your business in up to two categories in the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce online directory. Multiple listings make it even easier for potential customers to find your business.
Remember that when you choose your category listing, don’t make it so specific that people will miss you! If you do automotive body work, make at least one of your category listings as simple as “Auto Repair” so that you show up in more searches. The listing of available categories is online at LawrenceChamber.com in the Directory section.

Additional Category Listings: $50 each per year
Make your business more visible in Chamber Member Directory searches by listing it in additional business categories. The more business listings you have,the easier it is for the public to find your business. All listings are included in the annual printed directory. You may add up to four additional categories (six total).

FREE: 25-Word Online Description
Every Lawrence Chamber of Commerce member business may include a 25-word description of its business or organization services. This is a great way to help make your business stand out from others and elaborate on what you do and how you can help your customer.

50-Word Online Description: $50/year
Help your business stand out in our directory listings by adding 25 words to your business description. The more details the public has about you and your company, the better they understand how your services can help them.

FREE: Coupons
Do you have an ongoing sales promotion, a discount or a big sale coming up that you would like to offer? Market your business by uploading it to the “Coupons” section of your Chamber member directory listing. This gives people yet one more reason to frequent your business. To list a coupon, log in to the “Members Only” section of LawrenceChamber.com. Click on the “Coupons” button. Fill out the form and hit “Save.” After you save, the coupon icon will show up on your Chamber directory listing, as well as under the “Coupons” listing on the homepage.

Lawrence 2 Go Enhanced Listing: $99/year
For just $99 a year, you can be at the top of the list of our Chamber mobile app! The enhanced listing includes:

 

  • Moving your business to the top of ALL its category listings,
  • A 322 by 77 pixel logo or other image to highlight your business
  • Spaces for three additional URLs
  • Direct links to your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • profiles

PUBLICATION ADVERTISEMENTS

Chamber Matters Ads: $100 for 1 month; $250 for 3; $400 for 6; $700 for 12
Chamber Matters is the weekly email distributed to all Chamber members and select nonmembers who receive Chamber communications. The email contains information about important issues relating to the
Chamber and economic development, upcoming Chamber events and news from other Chamber members. Ads space for Chamber Matters includes a top banner (650 by 125 pixels) and sidebar ads (250 by 400 pixels). The Top Banner is SOLD OUT for 2013. Up to six sidebar ads may run per month. Ad space is allotted on a first come, first serve basis.

The Connection Ads: $50-$500
The Connection is the bimonthly printed and electronically distributed (in PDF format) publication of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce. It includes a calendar of upcoming Chamber events, photos of recent
ribbon cuttings and a message from our CEO, Greg Williams. Ads must be submitted in CMYK color format at 300 dpi, in PDF or EPS format.

LawrenceChamber.com Banner Ads: $350-$40,000
The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce website is visited 3,500 times per month by 2,500 unique visitors. By advertising on LawrenceChamber.com, you are reaching a large audience both in Lawrence-Douglas County and in the Midwest who are interested in the Lawrence business community. Consistently, the most popular pages are the homepage, the Directory landing page, the Directory Category Listing page and the Contact Us page.

Banner ads may be purchased for one, three, six or 12 months at a time. Only six ads are allowed on a page at any given time, and ad spaces are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Special event pages (Annual Meeting, Fall Mixer, Business Expo) have only four available spaces, as two are held for event sponsors. Contact Alice C. Hunt at

DIRECT MARKETING

Email Blast: $250 for 1 use; $500 for 3; $750 for 5
Email blasts are a dedicated email sent from your company to your fellow Chamber members. These are a great way to get your business’ or organization’s message to a group of people who are committed
to local business and the community. The email reaches about 1,400 members. To send an email blast, Chamber members should provide:

  • Message information and/or imagery (JPG or PDF is OK)
  • Desired Subject Line
  • Person or Company Name from whom the email should come (i.e. Lawrence Chamber or Alice C. Hunt, Lawrence Chamber)
  • Email to which people may respond with questions or comments.

FREE: Member News/Members in Action
Do you have exciting news you would like to share with your fellow Chamber members? If so, submit it to Member News! Member News appears weekly in the Chamber Matters weekly email. The information is then posted in the “Members in Action” section of the Lawrence Chamber website for at least one month. This section is for business-related news such as: new hires; promotions, business expansion and/or relocation; industry-specific awards; regional and national news mentions; top rankings; certifications from industry-specific organizations. Mailing List: $250 for 1 use; $500 for 3; $750 for 5
Have a letter, postcard or invitation you need to get to the 1,400 most influential business people in Lawrence  and Douglas County? The list can be distributed one of two ways. We can print the labels for you and deliver them to be affixed to a letter or mailer piece. Or, we can send an Excel document licensed for one (1) use. The Lawrence Chamber must approve the artwork prior to sending, and does not allow the Chamber mailing list to be used in certain instances, like political mailings. There is a contract that states the member will use the list only once. The Chamber will release the list after the signed contract is received.

Live It Local Mailer: $350 for full page; $200 for 1/2 page; $100 for 1/4 page; $50 for 1/8 page
Don’t waste money on postage! Use your marketing money wisely and advertise in the Chamber’s Live It Local Quarterly Virtual Mailer! The mailer is sent out to every Chamber member via email, and is available
for viewing and download online. In 2012, each mailer received more than 5,000 impressions per quarter.
