Lawrence, Kan. – Environmental Management Resources, Inc. (EMR) provides a full array of environmental consulting, testing, engineering and construction services in approximately thirty states. Since their founding in 1988, EMR has enjoyed controlled and consistent growth. In recognition of that growth, the City of Lawrence and Lawrence Chamber of Commerce will award EMR with the Foundation Award.

The Foundation Awards Program was designed to recognize local companies that have achieved substantial job growth, according to Jamie Blaylock, the Chamber’s Director of Business Retention and Attraction Programs. EMR’s staff has grown by almost 30% during the past year, making it eligible for the Foundation Award.

The award will be presented during the Lawrence City Commission meeting on August 29 at 6:35 p.m. The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce advocates for business and community prosperity as it creates diverse jobs; cultivates a successful business environment; develops active community leaders; and promotes the assets of Lawrence and Douglas County.
