Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting highlights the Chamber’s achievements over the past year and honors the recipients of the prestigious Citizens of the Years Award, ATHENA Award, and Envoy of the Year Award.

With multiple sponsorship opportunities available, this event offers unparalleled exposure to 400 community and business leaders, providing excellent networking opportunities and a chance to enjoy a glamorous evening.

Held annually on the last Friday of January, the Annual Meeting invites you to join as a presenting sponsor, executive sponsor, or corporate partner.

Sandtrap Classic

Hit the greens and connect in an informal setting—perfect for entertaining clients in a fun and interactive environment. After all, business always gets done on the golf course!  If you don’t sign up fast, you’ll miss out!

Empowerment Expo

A one-day conference to create an inclusive space for attendees to learn, connect, and build together a powerful business community strengthened by the invaluable connections and knowledge gained.The event will feature many breakout sessions on many topics as well as plenty of time to network and connect!

Taste of Lawrence / Business Expo

For over 30 years, Taste of Lawrence has provided an opportunity for local restaurants to showcase their food and beverages. In addition to being a lot of fun, the event also celebrates the contributions of educators in Lawrence and Douglas County. The event draws in more than 1,200 guests annually!  This year, we are combining our Annual Business Expo with Taste of Lawrence to create a one-of-a-kind event, providing businesses with an opportunity to gain exposure with possibly over 1,500 attendees!   Be a sponsor, reserve a booth, tell your customers, bring your swag, and get ready to make some connections!

Legislative Breakfast

Held just before the Kansas legislative session kicks off, this event features a joint presentation of legislative priorities from the City, County, USD 497, the University of Kansas, and The Chamber to our area’s legislators. After the presentation, attendees engage directly with the local delegation as they share their perspectives on the key issues and challenges of the upcoming session.

Coffee Connections

Grab a cup of joe with your fellow Chamber members on the second Thursday of every month.

Ribbon Cuttings

We’ll bring the ribbon, giant scissors and a supportive crowd. You provide the space! We’ll cut a ribbon when you join The Chamber!

GCA Luncheon (Government & Community Affairs)

Want to be the first to know what’s going on around town? Enjoy a lunch presentation with fellow Chamber members, featuring speakers on a variety of topics, ranging from voting and elections to affordable housing and economic development. This event is hosted the second Wednesday of every month.
